About Me
My name is Wally Perez and I’m journalist and freelance copywriter. I'm currently working a contract position as the Coordinator of Communication at Palo Alto College in San Antonio, TX in their Public Relations department. This contract will end at the end of August.
Formerly, I was editor of San Antonio College’s newspaper The Ranger in 2016 and held many other positions during my tenure with the paper. After graduating from SAC, I accepted an internship as a reporter for a nonprofit news website called Folo Media in the summer of 2017.
Although hard news has a place in my heart, my true passion is music. I ventured into that world during my final semester of college when I joined Texas State's campus radio station KTSW 89.9 as a music journalist.
